At Yale, Christian was heavily involved within the Latino/x/e community as Chair for the undergraduate Puerto Rican students organization, Despierta Boricua. He has also served as Vice President for La Unidad Latina through which he mentored undergraduate Latino men. Additionally, Christian served as a mentor for students as a STARS Peer Mentor for underrepresented students in STEM and as a Residential Director for the First-Year Scholars at Yale program which served first-generation, low-income students as they transition to Yale.
Christian’s family is originally from Arecibo, Puerto Rico but moved to Waterbury, CT.
