Crafting Unique Cocktails from Simple Ingredients  |

Please join us for Creative Cocktails + Conversation, a virtual event where CT farmer-mixologist, Christopher Andrew ’04, will instruct us in the art of crafting unique cocktails from simple ingredients. This class will include 45 minutes of instruction as Chris guides us through a few delicious recipes, including crowd favorites with a twist, a marriage of mezcal and rye, and an adventurous scotch concoction! The class will be followed by 45 minutes of connection and conversation. The conversation portion of the event will be capped at 50 attendees at a time. Ingredients lists will be sent in advance to those who RSVP. The mixology class portion will be streamed live via the Yale Alumni Facebook group.

This event is organized by the YaleWomen Connecticut Chapter and co-sponsored by the Yale Latino Alumni Network, the Yale Food + Drink Facebook Group, and the Yale: Jonathan Edwards College Alumni, Fellows, and Friends Facebook group.
Speaker: Christopher Andrew ’04
Christopher Andrew’s (’04) love of libations and good eats dates back to his early days as a member of Yale’s illustrious Jonathan Edwards College (JE). Chris managed the JE Buttery and coordinated the JE (Class of 2004) senior happy hour. He graduated to keeping bees, foraging for wild plants and mushrooms to make creative foods and cocktails, and brewing mead at his homestead in Connecticut. Which in turn, led to the start-up of a hop-infused honey company called HopBee Honey. Chris has also contributed his food and drink knowledge to CT Food & Farm Magazine. His works include: “Elevate Your Game” (on cooking wild game) and “Summer’s Bounty: Hot Water Bath Canning Tomatoes” (on preserving the bounty from one’s garden).
During the day, Chris is an Asthma Biologics Specialist for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. He works with offices to ensure patient access and reimbursement for a specialty asthma drug.
Moderator: Anne Boucher ’80
Anne Boucher ’80, President of the Yale Crew Association and Class of 1980, is a YW Councilmember and heads the YaleWomen CT chapter. Anne is currently a Clinical and Economic Research Manager at 3M–and also loves a good cocktail! Her career at 3M has spanned 30 years.
