Join the Yale Latino Alumni Network (YLAN) for a conversation with three alumni discussing the evolution of networking and advancing those skills. Toplitzin Gomez (YC ’18), Chief of Staff at Honeycomb Credit, Norma Padron (PhD ’14), Founder & CEO of EmpiricaLab, and Mildred Quinones-Holmes (YC ’81), Senior Counsel and a prominent lawyer at Ross PLLC, will reflect on their experiences of networking professionally, the struggles they had to face as Latinx professionals, and how they developed their skills. This session will be moderated by Jonathan Kim (MBA ’00).

Jonathan Kim (SOM ’00)
SVP and Registered Representative, Zanbato Securities; Principal and Founder, Jonathan B. Kim, P.A.

Jonathan Kim has over three decades of experience in legal, investment, and operational management roles in the US and internationally. He is an alternative investment advisor with Silicon Valley-based Zanbato Securities LLC and the founder and principal of the law practice bearing his name. Previously, Jonathan served as the General Counsel and Secretary of Bermuda-based Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. (NYSE: MRH). He also gained extensive experience in financial advisory services with AXA Advisors LLC, in internet strategy with Modem Media Inc., and in corporate law and litigation with a Wall Street law firm and the United States DOJ. Additionally, Jonathan is currently President of the Yale Club of South Florida. Jonathan obtained his bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature from Brown University, his MBA with a dual concentration in Finance and Strategy from Yale University, and his JD from Georgetown University.

Norma Padron (PhD ’14)

Norma Padron is a Latina entrepreneur and first-generation college graduate who founded EmpiricaLab, a company specializing in peer-to-peer training to accelerate digital transformation within healthcare organizations. She has a doctorate in health economics from Yale University, a master’s in economics from Duke University, a master’s in public health from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain, and a bachelor’s in economics from UT Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Padron is dedicated to improving access to digitally enabled care and has over 12 years of experience in healthcare leadership roles across academia, nonprofits, and private sectors.
