Shannon Guerra ’21
Shannon Guerra was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut to Ecuadorian parents. She received a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University and was a Human Rights Scholar in the Multidisciplinary Academic Program in Human Rights managed by Yale Law School’s Schell Center.
Shannon currently works on the marketing team within the Business Development Department of a prestigious global law firm in Manhattan, while also contributing her expertise as a marketing volunteer for Building One Community.
At Yale, Shannon was actively involved in several communities across campus. She co-founded Ecuatorianos y Amigos Unidos and was an Editor-in-Chief of Accent, Yale’s only multilingual magazine. She also served as Co-President and Director of Communications for A Leg Even and as Director of Advocacy for the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association. She volunteered as a Spanish Interpreter for the Yale Interpretation Network and was a Kirby Simon Fellow. Shannon’s academic achievements were recognized through induction into Phi Beta Kappa and the Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society.
