Chris Rios-Villalobos

Christopher Rios-Villalobos ’18

A 1st generation immigrant & college graduate, Christopher is passionate about entrepreneurship, supporting companies &organizations with their business development efforts, and learning more about how strategically invested capital may be leveraged to accelerate their growth.

To that end, Christopher has worked as a Business Consultant at Clarivate, a 5K+ person global data analytics company. In this role, he has helped enable the digital transformations of governments, primarily across Latin America, through the development and implementation of AI-powered technologies that enhance national protections for intellectual property and encourage companies to protect their IP.

Prior to Clarivate, Christopher's first full-time role was with TrademarkVision (Acquired by Clarivate), a 30-person artificial intelligence startup that specialized in using image recognition tech for IP protection. As the startup team’s only Spanish speaker, he focused on growing the company’s Latin American government partnerships business, ultimately helping to establish a significant new partnership with one of the largest governments in the region.

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University and is an alumnus of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), and the Venture for America Fellowship (VFA). Originally from Aguascalientes, México, he is now based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When not learning how to become a better older brother for his 4 younger sisters, Christopher enjoys playing the guitar, running, and spending time with family and friends.
