1stGenYale 6th Annual Career Networking Mixer
11/18/2021 @ 7:00 PM

1stGenYale is excited to invite you to our 6th annual Career Networking Mixer for Students & Alumni on Thursday, November 18, 2021, 7-8pm ET, usually held during the traditional Yale Assembly & Convocation – now we will get together virtually!
Join our host Clarence Agbi ’09, who earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Yale and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014. He currently works as a data scientist within the financial technology space. He serves on the boards of The Yale Club of D.C. and the Yale Science and Engineering Association (YSEA). He also leads the DC chapter of the Yale Black Alumni Association.
All alumni & students from Yale College and G&P Schools are welcome to participate!
Our career networking mixer is designed especially for Yale students, many of whom are among the first in their families to attend college and come from low income backgrounds. Sharing similar experiences, alumni want to hear from Yale students about their career interests as well as share their own career journeys. We want to help all our students be successful at Yale and in their personal career explorations…and avoid some of the roadblocks which got in our way.
Select your initial breakout room by career field on the registration form. Students are free to visit other rooms after their initial selection. We ask the alumni to host and remain in their career field rooms while the students rotate.
Breakout Rooms: 1. Arts & Architecture. 2. Business. 3. Communications & Media. 4. Computer & Data Science. 5. Consulting. 6. Education. 7. Engineering. 8. Environmental Policy & Science. 9. Finance. 10. Health Care. 11. Law & Social Justice. 12. Manufacturing 13. Non-Profit & Public Service. 14. Thinking about Graduate School? 15. Career Exploration Process.
