We are Thrilled to Announce YASC’s Return to In-Country Service Programs!

Join us for a discussion as part of Celebrate Service Week and hear from Andrew Burgie ’87, trip producer for YASC Puerto Rico 2023, Kathy Edersheim ’87, trip producer, and Danielle Morgan ’00 MSN, co-producer, for YASC Peru 2023. They will provide an overview of each trip, describe the ground partners and communities we will serve, review projects we anticipate offering, address our commitment for long-term engagement, and answer any questions you may have. The panel will be moderated by Perry Sayles ’88, YASC chair and trip producer for YASC Dominican Republic 2019.

Andrew Burgie ’87
Industrial Hygienist, Adjunct Professor
YASC Board Member

Andrew Burgie is the producer for the YASC program in Puerto Rico 2023. He is a member of the YASC Board having been on nine trips. Andrew is an industrial hygienist and Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Global Public Health.

Kathy Edersheim ’87
Consultant
YASC Vice-Chair

Kathy Edersheim is the producer for the YASC program in Peru 2023. She is vice-chair of the YASC board and has been on ten trips including producing China 2011 and Ghana 2012. Kathy is the founder and President of Impactrics, an alumni relations and community organizing consulting firm.

Danielle Morgan ’00 MSN
Nurse Practitioner
YASC Board member

Danelle Morgan is the co-producer for the YASC program in Peru 2023. She is an advisory board member of the Yale Alumni Service Corps and enjoyed attending the March 2019 trip to the Dominican Republic with her youngest son. Danielle is owner and founder of a psychiatric private practice, serves as an appointed member of Connecticut’s Health Care Cabinet, and is currently pursuing her PhD.

Perry Sayles is chair of the YASC advisory board and a member since 2016. He has been on five YASC trips and was the trip producer for the March 2019 trip to the Dominican Republic, which was organized in partnership with Yspaniola. Perry has his own interior design practice.
