This session will be screening clips from a recorded talk with Yale Professor Albert Laguna and then feature a live Q&A with Villavicencio and moderator Juan Carlos Salinas ’03 MFA.

Nominated for a National Book Award, The Undocumented Americans explores the lives of the undocumented, and the mysteries of the author’s own life. The stories are not deferential or naively inspirational but show the love, magic, heartbreak, insanity, and vulgarity that infuse the day-to-day lives of Villavicencio’s subjects.
